Fruit Ninja: Five Fruitful Years

Halfbrick – the company I work for – has just released a documentary on the history and future of the Fruit Ninja brand. It’s worth checking out if you’re interested in Halfbrick, the Fruit Ninja game or just simply fascinated by all things mobile development. It’s quite an interesting story and features interviews from the original creators and developers.

I also make an appearance  and speak briefly about the up and coming Fruit Ninja TV show I am currently working on as a writer and director. My bit starts at 41:40.

Fruit Ninja Origins Trailers: Complete

Here is the full set of Fruit Ninja trailers I worked on for most of 2013 with the People’s Republic of Animation and Halfbrick. As far as I can remember, this was the first time in my career where I took on a role that was not exclusively art related (though I did also produce much of the concept art for these – I plan to post some of this soon).

I co-wrote and co-directed the first trailer, “Ninjas in training,”¬† with the director of the 2 year anniversary trailer from the previous year. When it came time to tackle the other three, I was given the opportunity to write the stories mostly on my own, under the guidance of the Halfbrick team.

Thanks to a great team of artists and animators who had my back the whole time, it seems as though I managed not to mangle these too badly. Judge for yourself.
